Because they know their chrysalis!
If an author wants to impress students and poetic with its elegant comparisons, it has an interest in knowing its chrysalis. Is that young people today have a keen eye and knowledge far more sophisticated than we did at their age ... I've experienced this week, school Dome.
Since some time, I use in my animations butterfly metaphor to describe the cycle of writing.
The egg represents the idea the book.
The caterpillar is the first draft of the manuscript.
The chrysalis is the versions of the manuscript (the countless drafts that improve and mature the book).
The butterfly represents the published book.
Except yesterday at the Cathedral School, I presented my analogy between the novel and butterfly specialists monarch. And pupils of Denyse Tremblay and Louise Gendreau me kindly indicated that the chrysalis I showed that for months is NOT a Monarch chrysalis. And
children explain that the monarch's chrysalis is smooth, almost translucent, with a golden thread and two small dots of gold. By itself, their description sounded like a poem. Because they are knowledgeable in these pupae children! Dear
school students from the Duomo, thank you for making my education in natural sciences.
So here, the chrysalis of the monarch, in her robe of green so irresistibly soft.
